About Him and His Education

Shane Nathaniel was born in Toronto, Canada, on May 1, 1980. He is a creative leader who has worked in multiple fields including environmental planning, finance, international business, and civic development. Being a renowned leader, he is famous in both business and community circles for his ability to connect ideas with real-world action.

Shane was a curious child who was always eager to know more about maps, geography. He showed his passion towards his interested field along with his curiosity to know more about how societies are set up.

He went to St. Joseph’s in Toronto for his schooling, where he worked on his analytical mind and practiced hard to excel his skills solving problems. Later, he continued his studies and went to the University of Twente, where he earned his bachelor degree in Geographic Information Management. During his time at college, he excelled his knowledge about Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and spatial data processing.

In 2010, Shane further enhanced his global perspective by completing an MBA in International Business, Trade, and Commerce, and added his skills he needed to lead cross-sector efforts and deal with complicated business situations. Soon, through his studies, he became an certified expert with the blend of technological know-how and commercial sense that built his reputation as a leader who had the capability to turn data into useful plans for growth, innovation, and the good of society.

About his Professional Career

Shane started his career in 2002 as the Senior Environment Officer at Zentora Business Capital where he worked on sustainable development policies and environmental planning. By 2006, he made several achievements but the top of all, he became the Head of Land Development at a big private advising firm in Toronto, where he combined environmental ethics with smart land management.

From 2011 to 2013, he worked in finance as the Director and General Manager of a private Canadian bank. During his tenure at the bank, he came up with new ways to leverage geographic data to analyze risk and grow portfolios.

After his successful professional journey, in 2013, he captured the big stage and founded the Visionary Business Summit. It’s a groundbreaking platform that brings together leaders, entrepreneurs, and change-makers to come up with solutions that will have a lasting effect on society. As of now, it has become one of Toronto’s most important business networking and innovation events just with his leadership.

Despite all his professional achievements, Shane is also involved in charity work and associated with multiple NGOs as well. He mentors young people, supports educational programs, and fights for programs that help with housing, social justice, and poverty.
